Dr Mena Fombo (hon) is a founder, facilitator, film director and global speaker.

She is deeply passionate about racial justice, political and social change. Each of her businesses are founded upon a core set of values and an unwavering belief that "I can make a difference."

Mena supports greater human connections within business through leadership development training and team days, workshop facilitation and delivering purpose driven retreats.

She is an executive coach, experienced mentor and Diversity and Inclusion consultant delivering to clients across the USA, Europe and Asia.

One of Mena's notable achievements is her powerful TEDx Talk titled "No. You Cannot Touch My Hair." This thought-provoking talk has garnered attention from around the world and has been viewed by over 870k individuals. It has also contributed to important research on the topic, highlighting the significance of cultural understanding and respect.

She is an International ambassador for the City of Bristol, holds an honorary doctorate for work in Equalities from the University of the West of England and a is voting member of BAFTA (British Academy Film and Television Awards). 

Mena has featured on the BME powerlist, was a nominee for the West Women's award and Techspark Sparkies award and she was a Bristol247’ woman of the year!

She is the founder and Managing Director of Black Girl Convention and co founder of Blak Wave Productions.
