She attended St Christina's School in London before pursuing her studies at Runnymede College in Madrid in 1999. Later, in 2006, she enrolled at Brunel University in London and obtained a BASc in Communications and Media Studies. Fashanu further expanded her knowledge by earning a master's degree in handbag design from IED University in Madrid.

During her time at university, Fashanu also made a name for herself in the modeling industry. Notably, she had a successful stint as a model, even appearing alongside Professor Green for Puma in FHM magazine.
