Patrick Robinson (born 6 November 1963) is a British actor best known for his work in the long-running medical drama series Casualty on BBC One. He played Martin "Ash" Ashford who was, in the early years of the show, a staff nurse and then a charge nurse. In later years he returned to the role after Ashford had become a Consultant.

The episode was set to be a momentous occasion as it was entirely crafted by the talented Black individuals within the Hollyoaks cast and crew. From the script to the direction and the performances, this special was a celebration of Black excellence and creativity. The narrative revolved around a family gathering to celebrate the birthday of Reverend Walter Deveraux, portrayed by the talented Trevor A Toussaint, promising an engaging and heartfelt storyline that resonates with viewers from all walks of life.
